Meet Apollo, a gorgeous 2 year old red husky boy. Apollo is an owner surrender from Vancouver who is looking for a family who can give him lots of love, security and exercise. Apollo is a typical Siberian, always looking for things to keep him occupied and engaged, be that toys (he loves toys!) or other dogs to romp with. Apollo loves playing with other dogs, he is currently being fostered here on Vancouver Island with little Scooter, his foster mum says that now that Scooter has become accustomed to that husky exuberance they are great friends!
Apollo is neutered, U.T.D. on shots and house trained, he is ready and waiting to get back to life as someone's companion! He needs to gain a few pounds but will still be a lithe and slim looking boy with a short double coat.
Foster Update: Apollo and the dogs as his foster home/dog boarding facility have become really good friends now, he is a great dog, and has come a long way in learning some manners If there are no distractions (squirrels) he is pretty good on a leash and if he feels like it will come to his name when called. He is very loving and is good with other dogs to date. He apparently has moved to different homes 5 times in the last 3 months, so this said he is an angel and his bit of separation anxiety is understandable. He slept in his crate last night by my bed, I left the door open and he still stayed there.
Apollo understandably needs some patience when adjusting to new situations and can act out when highly stressed, so we will only adopt him to a home with no small kids and with people who understand both the breed and that it make take some time for Apollo to feel secure in a new home.
